Inspiring Modern Heirlooms
Praise for the Author
“What do hand stitching, crocheting, and quilting have in common? Among other things, they gave strong connections to life on the prairie. Growing up on the plains of Kansas, my sister, Lori Finney, and I always thought of ourselves as similar to the lives portrayed by Mary and Laura Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie. While I loved doing everything outside with Dad, Lori was patiently learning essential life skills from our Mother. Unsurprisingly, Lori quilts and crochets and is now an author, with her business, Prairie Tradition.”

Heirloom Quilts
Coloring Book:
Comfy and Cozy Patterns
Lori hopes this coloring book will be enjoyed by quilters and non-quilters alike. She envisions it will be used in many ways, but most importantly, she wants it to bring joy. Perhaps in recognizing iconic quilt designs, even ones you may remember sleeping under at your grandmother’s house. She encourages you to experiment with color selections when making your designs. It can be organized patterns with your favorite colors, or “scrappy” like so many colorful quilts, based on whatever color you pick for each section of the quilt block.
More than just a coloring book, it features stories behind the stitches in heirloom quilts created over a century ago on the Kansas prairie.
